I first beagn by fabrication the alternator and starter wire. Installing of the starter cable was striaght forward as I could use the sump bolts to install two clamps. Tha alternator side was another story as the space is taken by the propeller governor oil line (unused at the time). I use two clamps together to tie the cable to a solid point. This is the cable under the right cylinders. It's quite difficult to install the bolt and nut as space is tight and the clamps want only one thing, spring open. I also lsted all the wires that will be forward of the firewall. Those having no connection aft of the fire wall : - from battery (+) to battery relay - from battery (-) to engine - from battery (-) to engine to firewall - from alternator to ANL fuse - from starter to starter relay - from firewall to engine (grounding safety) Those going through the firewall : - 4 EGT - 4 CHT - Alternator field - Alternator out lamp - PMAG wires - Magneto wires - Oil temperature - Oil pressure - Oil pressure (second sensor for alarm light) - Fuel pressure - Main bus wire - Battery bus wire - Battery switch wire - Starter switch wire And maybe the GPS antenna cables. Before priming the wheel fairings, I drill and countersink all the holes that got blocked during the filling process. I also riveted some nutplates on the fairing support brackets. Then I primed all the parts, still a few pinholes and light sanding to do. I also started to refabricate some braking lines I was not happy with.
