Today some parts got reassembled, first the elevator bellcrank.

Then I reinstalled the bagage bulkhead, the cabin floors after some vacuuming. The sticks were another story, I forst had to prime one of the pushrods, then adjust it correctly, bolt on the support angles on the main bulkhead.
I still have to bolt everything to the supports angles.

Today I worked on the bagage bulkhead, the picture shows all : the nuplates all around and on the center rib are drilled and riveted and the center rib is riveted.

For the center rib, Sabine bucked the four rivets under the fuselage belly.

Here is a picture of my little repair on the center rib.

I also installed teh wearblock that will protect the shoulder harness cable from shaffing while going through the bagage bulkhead.

Vans answer to my problem from yesterday was quite short : fill the hole with a rivet a,d build on.

The problem is that the hole is for a bolt and thus is to large for a rivet. So I decided to fabricate a doubler allowing the riveting and the use of a bolt. After a few tries, here is the result. Three rivets will hold the doubler to all the other parts, and one of the rivet will hold only two parts and the shophead will fill the hole so as not to interfere with the nutplate.

Here the backside with the nutpalte and the hole that will be filled by the shophead of one rivet.

As I Intend to do some priming I decide to have a few more parts ready, so I decide to install the bagage bulkheads. The upper one has to be cut to shape so I first make a cardboard template.

Here the parts are installed, I then drill the holes all around.

Well here is some not so good result. The hole indicated by the arrow should ne be there. In fact the two upper holes in the rounded bulkhead are not symetrically drilled. I had seen that on the plans, but I was doing my measurments from the back of bulkhead with the dimensions from the front, so my offsets are on the wrong side. I'm sure that if I had been asked to put a hole in alignment were that one is, I would have messed it up. Well, I'll wait for Vans' input on this one.
Anyway, the two bulkheads got primed.

Today I tackled the assembly of the seat backs and seat floors. First I put rivets to nowhere in the holes I had wrongly drilled in the floors. Then I riveted the hinges and angles to the seat backs. For the rivets that could not be squeezed, I used the gun mounted in the C-frame.

Here is the seatback with the floor, the seat is in the middle position and the hinge of the most forward position is visible.

Here is the small flap in the back of the seatback that will slide in one of the two slots on the seat bulkhead.
