Hinge pin stop
|
First some sanding and then I painted the interior of the cowl with some leftover epoxy. The idea is to have the interior looking a bit better, even if it has not to be the same as outside. Then I tried to come up with a nice solution for the fitting of the hinge pin. Those tend to creep forward and mess with the propeller, which is not a good thing. I decided to loop the front end of the pin and have a screw oing through the loop to secure the pin. The cowl will be cut along the blue line and a small aluminium bracket on the inside will be fitted with platenuts. The hole will be hiddent by a small aluminium part. The lower screw will also hold the pin. So all that's left to to is fabricate all the parts. Working time on this subpart Today : 1h (Total : 121h) |
