Hinges and camlocs
|
It is suggested that the hinges be glued and riveted. So that the glue gets a better grip, large holes have to be drilled between the rivet holes. I decide to drill a bigger hole every two intervals so as not to weaken the hinge too much. Then I countersink the rivet holes on the cowls (not less than 124 holes). As I will glue the hinges another time, I begin by preparing the camlock strip. The rivet holes have to be drilled using the template included in the kit. Nothing difficult but again a lot of drilling (33 camlocs, so 66 rivet holes). Working time on this subpart Today : 4h (Total : 31h) |
