Side hinges
Catégorie: Engine : Cowls

I begin by preparing the side piano hinges, I leave them a bit too long for the time being. I drill the rivet holes every inch.
The holes are deburred as is usual.

Then I drill the pilot holes for the screws in the inlet area. The holes will later be enlarged for the screws.

After some more tweaking of the gaps between the different parts, I can begin the match drilling of the lower piano hinge. Nothing difficult here.

Then I drill the upper hinge. Antoine came to help me light the interior of the cowl so I could make out the pre-drilled holes in the hinges.

Next time I will have to countersink the cowls, glue and rivet the hinges and then drill to final size the camlock holes.
